The DDNG module—say, “Drive Diagnostics Next Generation”—flags an intermittent drop. -004 is the specific fault: “undervoltage at servo driver 4.” The final 4 means “log only; continue operation.” An engineer later investigates, finding a loose ground terminal. The code allowed triage without halting production.
