One day, he finds it: a massive, flawless pink diamond. Before anyone sees it, a mortar shell explodes. Solomon buries the stone in the mud and is thrown into prison. Captain Danny Archer (inspired by Leonardo DiCaprio) is a white South African mercenary-turned-smuggler. He is handsome, sharp, and morally bankrupt. He trades guns for diamonds.
