When Crysis 3 launched in 2013, it was a graphical behemoth. However, early versions of the game defaulted to a 32-bit executable, limiting the amount of RAM the game could use. This caused stuttering, texture pop-in, and crashes on high-end systems—especially with high-resolution texture packs.
