In 2006, DJ Khaled was already a known voice on Miami radio (99 Jamz, WEDR) and a mixtape DJ with Terror Squad ties. But his debut studio album laid the foundation for a formula that would dominate hip-hop for the next decade and a half: The Soundtrack of a Hustler Listennn... is a cavalcade of mid-2000s Southern hip-hop .
