Maya zoomed in. One of her columns had its analytical line offset by two inches.
Leo watched as Maya ran the cleanup. She deleted analytical nodes that weren’t aligned. She pinned the grid intersections. For twenty minutes, she whispered to the model, “You are not a pretty building anymore. You are a skeleton.”
She clicked
She opened the tab. Clicked “Export to ETABS (.e2k).”
As she saved the ETABS results to re-import back into Revit (a reverse workflow involving CSIXML), Leo asked, “Why isn’t this automatic?” Export from Revit to ETABS
The cursor spun. For ten seconds, nothing happened. Leo held his breath.
A dialog box appeared: Select floors to export. She chose Levels 2 through 12. Select load cases. She checked Dead, Live, and Wind. Maya zoomed in
