Lara sits next to him. No cameras.
He looks at her.
The night of the planned humiliation, at a glamorous Madrid gala, Diego raises his glass to toast Valeria. Lara is recording, ready to film Álex's downfall.
Álex agrees. Big mistake.
"You're watching the 'complete movie' of a fraud. Not because my methods fail, but because I failed to see the one person who needed help most: Diego. He's not a villain. He's a man who never learned that the person you need to seduce first is yourself."
Frustrated, Lara issues a challenge: "Take on one client of my choosing. If you succeed, I'll delete the footage. If you fail, you admit your whole system is a lie."
Álex is horrified. Revenge goes against his entire philosophy. But Lara has hidden cameras everywhere, and his reputation is on the line.
"And you—you didn't want to expose me. You wanted to know if someone like me could exist without wanting something in return. The answer is no. I wanted your respect."
