It was a rainy night in Empire Bay. Vito Scaletta sat in his worn leather chair, the credits of a foreign film rolling across the screen. He’d bought a used copy of Mafia II from a guy named Bruno who “knew a guy.” The problem? The game spoke only Czech.

After a second restart, Joe’s voice boomed from the TV: “Vito! Let’s go get some cannoli!”

Joe shrugged. “So restart it.”
