The film follows Memo , a mentally disabled father living in a small Turkish village. He is wrongfully accused of murdering a little girl—the daughter of a high-ranking military commander. Sentenced to death, he is sent to Cell No. 7. The hardened criminals in the cell initially mock him but eventually learn his story. They risk everything to help Memo by smuggling his young daughter, Ova , into the cell to reunite with her father.
