Executive Summary Under the NYCDOE’s Advance system, tenure is no longer automatic. Candidates must submit a portfolio demonstrating effective teaching practices as defined by the Danielson Framework for Teaching (FfT). This report provides concrete examples of artifacts, rationales, and reflective statements required for a successful portfolio. A successful portfolio proves consistency (over three observations) and impact (using multiple measures of student learning). 2.
