The animation team did a fantastic job giving Skypiea a "heavenly" glow. It’s bright, airy, and completely alien compared to the blue seas of the Blue Down Below. The star of this episode is undoubtedly Conis , the "Angel of the Clouds." She’s a kind-hearted, soft-spoken young woman with wings on her back (a staple of the Skypiean people) and a loyal pet fox named Suu.
Her gentle demeanor is a stark contrast to the crew’s chaotic energy. Watching Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper treat everything like a theme park ride while Zoro and Sanji bicker in the background is peak One Piece comedy. However, veteran anime fans will notice that this episode is dripping with subtle horror. While Conis smiles and shows them around, she keeps glancing nervously at the massive island in the distance: Upper Yard .
