The chiptune soundtrack, composed by CHERIS SOFT’s sole developer under the alias “Dr. Beep,” uses distorted pulse waves to simulate the whine of a lithotripsy machine. The battle theme, “Crush and Flush,” is unexpectedly catchy for a song about pulverizing mineral deposits via sonic resonance. Renalith Saga -v1.02- is not for everyone. It is slow, uncomfortable, and occasionally disgusting in its attention to bodily detail. There is a full crafting system dedicated to mixing “alkaline citrate potions.” There is a fishing mini-game where you fish for actual kidney stones in a magical urethra-river.
