In a grand address from the Imperial Balcony yesterday, Emperor Atrius Valen declared the passage of Decree 87-B “a necessary shield against the forces of chaos.” The decree authorizes the Ministry of Information to review all public communications and mandates loyalty certifications for all civil service positions.

The decree passed the Assembly 212–47, with all opposing votes recorded for review. Dockworkers at the South Bay Harbor remain off the job, citing unsafe conditions and wage arrears. Interior Minister Livia Durn refused negotiation requests, calling the strike “an illegitimate political action orchestrated by foreign-backed agitators.”

“This is not a restriction — it is a protection,” the Emperor told the assembled crowd. “For too long, foreign ideas have poisoned our youth and weakened our sacred traditions. No longer.”
