The series was called Transience . Each painting showed Gabby in a different emotional state: Gabby in Repose (calm, her eyes half-closed), Gabby in Fury (a brushstroke of red slashing across the canvas like a scream), Gabby in Farewell (her back turned, one hand reaching off-canvas).
