If you’ve been in the small business accounting game for a while, the name brings back memories. Before everything moved to the cloud (Xero, QuickBooks Online), MYOB was the king of the desktop.
Many accountants have old MYOB data files ( .myo ) from clients who closed shop 10+ years ago. If you need to look up an old invoice or tax figure, you don’t want to install old software on your modern PC. A portable version lets you open that historical data without messing up your current system.
